sigh, sometimes i do get so annoyed with blogspot.
yesterday i spent an hr uploading all my photos from the easter trip but i think the huge number of pictures made blogspot super slow that i spent another 6hrs trying to align the then before finally giving up.
so now i am gg to blog about malmo and copenhagen separately.
malmo first.

the town wasnt as fantastic as we though it out to be and the best part of our time there had to be the stay at this 4 star hotel!

view from the corridor

our room.

DOUBLE bed!

i have no idea why they have an ironing board in the room!

i love it that the hotels provide dove shampoo, conditioner, as well as hand soap!

our first stop was supposedly a must-visit castle at malmo but it turned out to be disappointing, both externally and internally.
as we were approaching the castle:

the entrance

view from the other side.

the best of the castle: some bucks outside.

and the beautiful windmill!

our next stop is st peters church!

the interior. did i already mention the europeans' obsession with chandeliers?

and while on our way to the beach we passed by a very interesting albeit dangerous for kids playground!

and also the 90-degrees turn building.

it is quite pretty afterall.

and this is the amusement park which is supposedly open to public but all the rides are not in operation!

spot me in the line-up!

the HUGE easter eggs in conjunction with easter.

i think this was at some random school building we walked by.

malmo bridge.

although the town wasnt fantastic, the trip has made me appreciate the nice-ness of the swedes even more!
the tourist information allowed us a refund of 2 out of 4 malmo cards when we realised it wasnt worth it at the end of the day and that saved us quite a sum!
little acts of kindness are appreciated! :)

i left de house early for swedish class to get some food coz i was really hungry and nothing at home appeals to me.
i made use of time alone to went and get a 6inch sub coz the sporean girls i hang out with dun fancy subway as much as me.
i also bought a french hotdog, my fav snack at the moment.

anyway i got a B for my other exam which i am very satisfied with.
in sweden, the locals either get VG, G or fail.
the exchange students get letters, A&B translates into VG and C&D=G.
all the exchange students(the bulk of the class) either got B or Cs.
so yup :)

i dun think the exam i just submitted this noon would go as smoothly thou.

on a brighter note, i am working tml after slacking for so long!
looking forward to the new post as barback, meeting new people and also the cash would definitly come in handy since i realised that i am actually very broke!

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Fika is a Swedish verb that roughly means "to take a coffee break".
Fika is a social institution in Sweden: it means taking a break from work or other activities and having a coffee with one's colleagues, friends, date, or family. The word has quite ambiguous connotations, and can at its its extremes denote a date or a small meal with your boss. This practice of taking a break for a coffee and a light snack (some biscuits, cookies, or a sandwich) between more substantial meals like lunch and dinner is central to Swedish life, Swedes being among the heaviest consumers of coffee in the world.

today all the girls went for fika at Varmlands with Christiane.
This is my first time and i loved it!
i have decided to go try fika at each nation every Sunday and decide on my favorite one!
sorry i was too hungry and bsuy devoring the food to take any photos.

later we went to check out some canoe-ing competition along the river.

they have to row their canoe down this "slide" thing at the beginning of the race.

the competition is to go around this thing as soon as possible.

the canoes along the river.

the river current is really strong so i am impressed!

As the cheerleading championships that we wanted to watch was too far a walk, we decided to go shopping!

me & Christiane trying on the same dress in the fitting room!

it was a lovely sunday afternoon.
nice weather, great food, fantastic company.

i didnt sleep at all the whole night because i was trying to be a smart alec and do up my grp's powerpoint.
excited as i was, they were unappreciative and we stayed there for 3hrs waiting for pple who didnt finish their work to finish it.

thank god for the alone time i had after that which made me a little less agitated.
i went to develop photos, shopped ard town, went back to collect photos, shop somemore and den return home.
bought alot of small and random stuff for many ppl and that makes me a happy girl!

oh, and i am starting to love my new bike now that i have gotten over the embarrassment of it being a kid's bike.

i am so sleepy.

Friday, March 14, 2008

i love my parents.
they are so adorable.
my dad went to get a webcam coz i said i wanted to see them as much as they want to see me.
den my tech-idiot dad even set up a skype acc so he can talk to me even if my sisters are not ard.
and he was actually online at spore time 4am just now, saying he was waiting for me coz i haven called him in abt a wk.
that is so so sweet.
and den he woke my mum up and i had a long talk with them.

absence makes the heart grow fonder applies not only to romantic relationships, but to family as well.

this is my 101th post.

i am not a very patient girl.
