anyway it snowed rather heavily this morning!

i am very happy!

even though we were late for sch coz we left late, we walked instead of cycle and we kept taking pictures along the way.

we ended up 45mins late for a 2hr lecture! haha.

after sch we headed to 2nd hand stores to look for skates.

we attempted to have a snowball fight along the way!

i bought my skates there for sek30=sgd7!!!

as there were limited skates, we went to another 2nd hand shop to get skates for the 2 other girls.

there, my fren bought a bag for sek10=sgd$2.40!!

i dun think its exceptionally nice but it looks new and all right and its definitely worth it!

another one of my fren also bought a belt for sek5!

i think i like the idea of second hand shops already.

we are girls on budget!!

today is a happy day :) :) :)

yesterday we went to eat at some very cosy place called Cafe Linn.
though i like de interior design alot and the food was appetizing, i still find it on the pricier side.

the thing in the second row is some custard pie thing which is apparently the favorite snack for the swedes' fika(tea in swedish).
however, it failed to catch singaporeans' fancy because all 4 girls didnt like it.

we also ordered a choc brownie with ice-cream which is very satisfying.

it was a wholesome meal and we all felt bloated after that.

this is the first morning for de past one wk my nose didnt bleed.
and so i am feeling happy.

but why do i keep thinking of that?

i just woke up from a nightmare.
which i think is too surreal to mention.
but i wan to say i miss running to jo's amy's or rachel's room after a bad dream.
or curling in to sleep with my mum.

anyway even though i look strong and tough(i think!), deep down actually i'm a scaredy-cat, a paranoid freak and i have a wild imagination.
maybe i am not so looking forward to my room-mate leaving me this weekend afterall.
and i wish i knew my neighbors around here which will definitely make me feel more secure.

well, that aside, i slept at 630pm yesterday.
its 315am now and i'm eating instant noodles.
talk about bizzare lifestyle.

i will go work on m grp project in a while!

gosh. i just woke up from a 3hr nap.
my individual asisgnment is due in about 12hrs time but i'm nowhere near the start.
man, why did we have to take masters' level courses?
this is even more stressful than NUS.









but we had no choice.

me and my room-mate actually booked de laundry room for 7am today but both of us didnt wake up.

i think we're all very tired lately.

this is depsite that i've not venture out of my nieghborhood for the past 2 days.

anyway so my fren was late for her proj meeting in sch at 10am and i only woke up when she called to ask me help her check something on her com.

i just had instant noodles for lunch and i really miss chinese food.
actually not chinese food since we actually cook that almost every dinner but i miss cny goodies very much.

well, that aside, yest for dinner i tried to imitate Aston's hickory chicken but obviously it was a flop.
it was still tasty chicken but not a very flavorful hickory taste.

nevertheless, i wan to show off the dish i cook for our very first home-cooked meal here!

and this is a trip made to ikea in its homeland last wk!

and the cutleries we got as we were a perfect grp of 6!

sadly, IKEA here is not cheaper, in fact some thigns are more ex.

anyway, another upsetting thing is the guys have decided that they dun wan to eat with us anymore as its very troublesome so they prefer to settle their own meal quick and easy.

sigh, talk about communal living.

anyway so its left with us 4 girls now.

anyway i really miss my private space.

there are seriously alot of singaporeans in uppsala.

first, theres the 7 of us from Biz.
We met 4 arts pple on the airplane.
i know my secondary school fren and her bf are here too.
we know 2 guys, one from engin and one from SOC.
we have met 2 law students and they say there's a 3rd one here.

Oh, and there're 2 SMU girls here too coz all teh above mentioned are from NUS.

i really wonder how many singaporeans ar ein this small scandinavian town alone.

Now who says sporeans dun come to sweden?

tomorrow me and 2 other girls are going to work at our nation, a sort of club, from 4pm-2am.
i am quite scared, partly because i do not what to expect of the job scope, partly coz i am afraid i dun have enough time for schoolwork and lastly also coz i think it very cold and dangerous for the 3 of us to come back so late as our residence area is really deserted.

ple let everything be fine.

yest was the first time in my entire life i saw snow!

i was on msn at 630am in the morning when my fren msg me telling me to look out of my window!

it was a beautiful sight though no pictures could be taken coz our windows cant be opened and it reflects light!

i had a very long and tiring day so i think i shall turn in early!

gd night sweden and gd morning spore!

sch has only just started but i can feel the workload alr.
even though our timetable is very slack, there are alot of self study to do.

eg, for the first module which we had an intro lect on mon, we had to go print our own notes and read them before first lect on wed, which is tml.
and its 3 sets of notes before each lesson, some rather thick.

oh, and rachel, we cant skip classes coz we have to participate even in lectures since its only a class of slightly over 20 pple and we're graded for class participation.

i think i will go for dinner and perhaps get started after that.

ps: sk, my swedish classes only start on feb but i will learn hard and teach u all i can when i'm back! :)

anyway, today i had my first lesson and it was cool.
we were divided into our project groups and i'm with 3 other swedish who seem really nice pple.
our timetable here is very slack, with 3-4days per week and 2-3hrs a day.
but that's before we start taking swedish in feb.

anyway my skin is peeling really badly from the dryness so i dun think the moisturiser is doing its job.
on a random notes, the sun here rises at 8am and sets at 3pm and i get sleepy here early.
i'm going off to bed coz i have to get up at 8am tml to cycle to sch.

i did type a few very long blog entries on the plane and before i got my internet here but nw i feel dumb posting them.

anyway above are pictures of my room.
they are more than 3 times the size of my room back in nus and we have our own kitchen with stove, oven, microwave and a BIG fridge like the one pple have at home.
oh, and our attached bathroom is super clean!
